Electric floor heating is typically connected to the electrical system via a ground fault circuit interrupter gfci. Red now there can be two separate wires for this. This gfci feature may be incorporated in the thermostat s functionality or it can be provided by the electrician either at the circuit breaker or at the line s end near the control device. With heated floors you can either program the thermostat to begin the heating process at certain times or you can use a floor sensor to aid the process which detects when the floor is getting cold and responds accordingly. This wire may be red without an h attached in some cases.

This wire connects to your heat pump if applicable. The white wire connects to your heat. The rh wire connects to the heating system. Yellow the yellow wire connects to your compressor.

Orange this wire connects to your heat pump if you have one. The blue wire on the thermostat is the common or c wire. The rc wire connects to the cooling system. Green the green wire connects to the fan.

The yellow wire connects to your compressor.
